I just found out I have a warrant out for my arrest and I want to turn myself into the county jail. I was wondering if I’ll be able to post my own Martinez Detention Facility bail bonds or if I’ll need to have a cosigner. I’ve never done this before.
It may be possible for you to bail yourself out. This will mostly depend on the size of your bail, the nature of the charges, the state of you credit and whether you rent or own your home. In most cases, people who have good credit and/or own a house or condo (even if they are still making payments on the mortgage) will be able to post their own bail bonds. On the other hand, if your credit is shaky, you rent, and/or your bail is very high, the bondsman may require you have an additional cosigner.
