Representatives from the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department have confirmed that deputies are still on the lookout for a robbery suspect.
The man is accused of breaking into a Pleasant Hill apartment and holding a victim at gunpoint before stealing his car.
The incident happened in early September, according to news reports, when a man with a gun forced himself into the apartment of a 67-year-old man.
Police say the vehicle was found in San Francisco a few days later.
The suspect is described as being an African-American male in his 20s who is approximately 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans. He was also carrying a green backpack.
Anyone who believes they have information that could aid in the arrest of this suspect is asked to contact the sheriff’s department.
Once the suspect is captured, he’ll be booked at the Martinez Detention Facility on armed robbery and car theft charges.
