Representatives for the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department have confirmed that an insurance company is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a driver who was involved in a hit-and-run accident last August.
The incident happened on August 18, deputies said, when a driver of a Land Rover crashed into the side of an office building. The building sustained significant damage.
The driver is also believed to have crashed into two parked cars while they were fleeing the scene of a crime.
Authorities have described the suspect as a while male in his 50s who was last seen wearing a floral Hawaiian shirt.
A female passenger was also in the vehicle at the time the incident took place.
It’s believed the pair had left a concert at Blackhawk Plaza just prior to the crash.
When the suspect is arrested they’ll be transported to the Martinez Jail to be booked and processed. Anyone who believes they have information about the vehicle or the driver is asked to contact local authorities.
