Representatives from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department have confirmed that a murder suspect has been apprehended and booked at the Contra Costa County Jail.
The suspect, Brian Hill, is accused of trying to run down sheriff’s deputies.
The incident took place in early April, according to a report by Patch.com, when deputies were called out to investigate a stolen vehicle report. When they arrived at the given address they saw Hill, who has distinctive neck tattoos, getting into the car.
At some point, Hill ditched the original car and forced his way into another vehicle. When they approached, the suspect tried to run them over.
Hill is being held on $1.3 million bail bonds. He’s being charged with attempted murder, felony evasion and stolen vehicle charges. It’s unclear whether the suspect has prior felony convictions and whether an additional conviction would add an additional “strike” to his record.
