Two young men, ages 18 and 25 have been booked into the Martinez Jail on attempted murder charges, according to a source.
The Concord Police Department said they responded to an early-morning call last weekend about a potential stabbing. When they arrived, they found a 23 year-old male who had been stabbed in his chest while he’d been walking toward a party.
Witnesses said at some point, the now victim got into some sort of confrontation with six other individuals and it eventually escalated to blows. One of the other men pulled a knife and stabbed the 23 year-old; the suspects then hopped in a car and drove off.
Concord PD officials say that witnesses were able to give them a description of the vehicle and they were able to track it down about 10 minutes later. All of the men in the car were taken into custody.
The driver and his 18 year-old passenger were formally arrested and are being held at the Martinez Jail on unknown bail bonds.
