The Richmond Police Department protects the city, which is divided into three separate districts- North Central and South. Each of those districts is then subdivided into three smaller “beats.” Patrol officers are all assigned an individual beat.
If a friend or family member has been arrested in Richmond, they will be taken temporarily to the Richmond City Jail. From there, they will be taken to the Martinez Jail for booking. During the booking process, the defendant will be fingerprinted and photographed. A warrant search and background check will be done. If there are no outstanding warrants, bail will be set according to the Contra Costa bail schedule.

Once the bail is set, we can go to the jail to post the bond. It can take a few hours after the bond is posted for the defendant to be released. We cannot give an exact time of release because each situation is different. They will be able to use a phone once they are released to arrange a ride.
We can get started on the bail bond paperwork as soon as you call us at 925-231-4307. Call now for your consultation and to begin the process of getting your loved one home.
